Eater-tainment for Kids
Halloween is the season that overflows with candy, sweets and other treats. That can make your job of keeping your child eating properly a lot challenging. To cope, there are several methods available, but one of the most effective is to entertain him with a creatively presented meal that is both delicious and nourishing.
Visual attraction is perhaps the most significant factor. Since kids' attention is naturally drawn by things that catch their eye, providing a dish that looks fun is already a significant step towards achieving the goal of actually getting your child to eat.
You can accomplish this visual attraction by using shapes, color, texture or any combination of these. For instance, you could plate camote fries to resemble a broomstick with a stylized witch drawn with ketchup, or top a chicken burger with a pre-sliced cheese single trimmed to resemble a jack-o'-lantern. While these examples are perfect for Halloween, with a little creativity you can come up with dishes that are appropriate for whatever season it is.
