Corn and cheese are definitely two things that tickle kids' taste buds and tummies. Which is why these are great main ingredients you can experiment on. One dish you can prepare with corn and cheese is chowder – a thick, milky soup.
This month is not only the beginning of rainy days; it’s also the start of flu season. Comfort, and especially health, should be at the top of your mind as you prepare your child’s food. Make delicious food like chowder with healthy ingredients that your child is fond of so he can enjoy meal time!
Place the potatoes in a soup pan and simmer it in the lightly-salted water until barely tender for about 15 minutes.
Melt the butter and sauté the chopped onions in a saucepan until tender. Add the flour and mix. Add the milk and stir until a thick sauce is formed.
Pour the sauce you make into the soup pan with potatoes. Add in the corn and let this simmer for about ten minutes.
Stir in the grated cheese until it's completely melted.
