Recently, Yohan was invited to attend a Princess-themed birthday party. See her photo? Cute di ba? Just like a little princess. It was so nice to see her interacting with other kids – playing, singing and just being little girls. Nag-enjoy nga akong panoorin siya while she enjoys the party food na hinanda especially for the birthday celebrant and her guests. Being a 100% panatag mom, I also make it a point to include child nourishment as my #1 priority for Yohan's meals kahit sa parties na pinupuntahan naming together. Nakakatuwa nga kasi sa party nameet ko ang ibang parents ng friends ni Yohan. Like me, nakikita ko rin na todo-effort sila when it comes to providing good nutrition for kids even in occasions like this.
Malaking effort rin ang ibinigay ng mga parents and party organizers in decorating the venue based on the theme na gusto ng birthday girl. Very spacious pa ang venue kaya tamang tama for the kids to enjoy the parlor games like musical chairs and "Bring me!". At dahil naging active si Yohan sa pag-participate ng games, lumakas ang appetite nya kaya hinayaan ko siyang mag-try ng mga bago at healthy food na nasa party. Gusto ko rin kasi na kahit party food, yung makakatulong pa rin in terms of good nutrition for kids Minsan kasi sa parties, ang mga kids konti lang ang nakakain kasi nalilibang sa games kaya nagiging crucial for mommies like me na bantayan yung pagkain nila para hindi mapabayaan ang child nourishment at maging 100% panatag pa rin ako at the end of the day.
I could tell na sobrang nag-enjoy si Yohan, lalo na when they showed the big birthday cake! It was around 3 feet tall and may castle na cake topper with a princess pa. The kids were all amazed! Natuwa rin ako sa effort ng organizers in considering good nutrition for kids when they decided to add bite-sized pieces of different fruits para healthy. Nakita kong na-aappreciate ni Yohan yung lasa at nag-request pa siya ng second slice to go with a glass of Lactum na pinack ko for her. O di ba, mas na-aachieve ang proper child nourishment when we make healthy meals that are delicious for our kids to enjoy!
Sigurado akong sa birthday ni Yohan, gusto din niya ng cake na ganoon! She was so excited that she let me taste it. And it was good! Very creamy and sweet pero may hint of fruity taste. It's good to know that even in birthday parties, we can still let the kids enjoy sweets without sacrificing good nutrition for kids. I guess it's okay to let the kids indulge in pastries like birthday cakes dahil paminsan-minsan lang naman. And kahit paano, 100% panatag naman ako because Yohan drinks her Lactum everyday.
Madalas naman, I prepare the food at home kasi mas nag-eenjoy ako when I prepare the weekly menu for my family. Higit sa lahat, guaranteed akong 100% panatag ako na delicious at healthy ang kinakain ni Yohan – especially now that good nutrition for kids her age becomes essential to proper growth and child nourishment. Maybe for her next birthday party, I'll make sure na lahat ng food healthy but something naman na magugustuhan pa din ng mga guests niya.
Hmmm... Ano kaya ang okay na ihanda? Now, I'm excited! Kelangan makapag-plano na rin ako ng iba't ibang healthy recipes na magagamit ko when I prepare for Yohan's birthday menu. Siyempre hindi mawawala ang mga fruits and veggies sa line-up! I'll make sure that I also include Lactum milk as an ingredient to my dessert ideas para mas maging special. And for her favorite seafood dishes, I can ask Yohan for some ideas para mas maging masarap yung iluluto ko. Gusto ko rin kasi yung kid-friendly dishes that would help give Yohan the essential nutrients she needs for child nourishment. I'm sure the planning and preparation will turn into a fun, bonding moment for me and Yohan! Kayo ba, mommies, 100% panatag ba kayo when it comes to kids and party food?
