There are days like this na parang ang sarap lang magrelax at makipaglaro sa mga bata. So while I really enjoy cooking for my child's nutritional needs, sometimes I take breaks from kitchen duty para makapagrelax and just bond with my family. Like today, we had really late lunch, kasi hindi ako nakapagluto, ang dami kasing shoot and tapings lately. That's why we spent our noontime just playing! We had so much fun that we didn't notice the time pass us by.
So what we did was lumabas kami and we ate out. Whenever we eat out, I always make sure na we eat in a restaurant na pwede sa mga kids – dapat it caters to the nutritional needs of my kids, and of course, it's something that they should also like. Si Yohan, for example, she really likes seafood. I told her nga once, "Anak, pinaglihi ba kita sa mermaid? Baka maging mermaid ka when you grow up!" When we eat out, she really likes to have buttered fish. That's ok because I think that's a healthy choice.
As both as a mom and a foodie, mahalaga sa akin to ensure the quality of the food that my family eats whether at home or in a restaurant. Dapat masarap, at dapat it helps in meeting the daily nutritional needs of my children. Balanced dapat.
Of course, as with dining at home, importante sa amin ni Rye to ensure that we use every occasion like eating out not only to explore other food types that has all the nutritional needs of my kids, but siyempre, to bond with them na rin. Kaya nga balanced dapat, hindi lang sa pagkain, but of course with my work and with my family life.
