Remember in one of our Lactum commercials ni Yohan na may mga challenge kaming pinagdadaanan just to get her to eat? Totoo lahat yun. In fact, even more so nung younger pa siya, when she went through a phase na distracted eater siya. Challenge talaga! I had to do so many things just to get her to take a bite.
When Yohan was younger, I sometimes had to wear a clown's hat just so she would focus on me while eating. On other times, ginagaya ko yung voices ng favorite cartoon characters niya. This is why we would often call breakfast, lunch, and dinner as "mealtime showtime."
Kaya lang, there are times talaga when Yohan won't finish her food. I'm sure you've experienced that many times. Before, I would get frustrated, too. But later on, I learned na dapat, we shouldn't force our kids to eat if ayaw na nila. Why? Well, they will eat naman when they're hungry. So during that time, I only give nutritious food to Yohan. And when she's full, I let her be.
Here are my other tips:
Diba at a certain age, our kids like to imitate what we're doing? Ako, I took that opportunity to show Yohan how much I loved eating fruits, veggies, and nutritious snacks instead of junk food. Of course, Lactum 6+ will always be there during mealtimes. It's my partner in helping provide my child 100% nourishment*.
