Mommies, are your kids picky eaters just like my Yohan? Di ba it's always a challenge to provide healthy meals for children like them? And while there are plenty of tips that can be found in books, magazines and internet on how to provide healthy meals for picky eaters, it's also nice to hear from other moms how they deal with this feeding challenge.
I'll share with you one of the challenges I had in trying to feed Yohan other nourishing meals. As I plan healthy meals for my children, during mealtime madalas hotdog, fried chicken or pork chop pa rin ang hinahanap.
So how do I create healthy meals out of Yohan's favourite food? Let me share with you what I've discovered lately:
Discovery #1: Common for children to always look for fried chicken. How can you make a healthier version of every child's favorite food? Try using alternative parts ng chicken aside from the usual red meat like chicken legs na gusto ng mga kids. Normally, pag chicken, thighs or leg parts na agad ang hinahanap nila. Kaya lang medyo mataas ang fat content ng mga ito. So what would normally use is chicken breast. And minsan, instead of frying it, I prepare a dish that requires baking!
Discovery #2: For beef and pork naman, try mixing grounded meats in soups. When I try to include beef and pork as part of my healthy meals for my children, ginagawa ko siyang ingredient ng soup. In making soups, I can still include other healthy ingredients like carrots!
Preparing healthy meals for children can be quite a challenge especially when our kids become picky eaters. To help ensure that your child is completely nourished, just like my Yohan, always have your child drink Lactum 3+/6+. Lactum helps provide 100% nourishment*. It has the essential nutrients from the food pyramid. Kaya ako mommies, 100% panatag na 100% nourished si Yohan!
